Leverage: Parker looking happy, captioned 'glee!'

This was part of a series of Leverage icons to capture different moods, back when I was nearly monofannish about Leverage. My fascination with the show waned, but I still like this icon, and use it much more than the others (which I intend to replace, when I have Photoshop set up again).

I've had people say "But she's not on Glee!". I must confess that it irks me; I've always had a "glee!" icon for those moments where it's appropriate, and it annoys me that the existence of the show has created so much inappropriate/inaccurate context for the word.


STXI: The Enterprise in warp, captioned 'vroom vroom'

This is kind of my all-purpose Trek icon, one of the first batch I made when STXI came out, and I love it. I still don't know why I put the caption there, other than 'it didn't look right without words'. :)


ST DS9: Dr Julian Bashir, captioned 'hi!'

Hi Julian! Hi! Hi!

I know some people have serious issues with Dr Bashir, and I am certainly willing to listen to critique of the character. And he's certainly a creepster of the first order for almost all of season one, and a goodly chunk of season two.

I can't stay mad at him, though; I'm willing to provisionally forgive his creepiness as it's generally based on utter cluelessness, and when he knows better, he does better. And I like a lot about the character: I love that he's written like an egotistical cowboy but he's actually extremely cautious and careful in his work. I like his relationships with his colleagues, once he stops trying to compete with Wesley Crusher for the Most Annoying Boy In Starfleet crown. I love his boundless enthusiasm and his willingness to get his hands dirty - he spends way more time out of his medical bay than in it, and most of that time is doing nondoctorly things.

Um, tl;dr: I like Dr Bashir. :)


Farscape: John Crichton, squatting on a beach & staring into space angstily.

I think this is from early season 4, on Arnessk, but I could be wrong - to be honest, I have only vague memories of a lot of Farscape episodes, because I find it really hard to rewatch. So much of it hurts so much.


White Collar: Peter and El Burke kissing while Peter's handcuffed to Neil Caffrey.

I made quite a lot of White Collar icons in the very early days, before I realised that the show really, really wasn't at all what I wanted. It's a very pretty, very iconable show, though - and this one's a particularly popular shot for iconning, because it neatly illustrates all the awesome things about the show. This icon's due to be retired fairly soon, because I don't like using icons that other people use too, and because I rarely have anything to say about White Collar.
