This year, like every year, there has been wank and stress surrounding Yuletide -- and while I can understand people's individual unhappinesses, I find it frustrating when people can't see the forest for the trees.

This post from elf says everything I think on the issue, basically. Rather than rewriting it, I'll just say "YES, THIS".
