Today's
fannish5:
Name 5 characters you think would have a good time hanging out with you and your friends - in your world, not theirs.
1. Tim McGee (NCIS), because he's basically just like my friends, except for the day job. (If any of my friends are federal agents, they haven't told me...)
2. Marten Reed (Questionable Content), because we're just like his friends, only less crazy and therefore somewhat more relaxing. :)
3. Sam Axe (Burn Notice), because he's incredibly laid-back, and easy-to-please, and this part of the world entirely understands the 'gentleman of leisure' lifestyle he aims for.
4. Hermione Granger (Harry Potter), because, well, birds of a feather flock together.
5. Abby Sciuto (NCIS), because she could have a good time hanging out with anybody.
*
And now for a weekly roundup, since I'm trying to shake myself out of this uncommunicative rut I'm in.
TV Viewed:
* Burn Notice 3x14 - 3x16, catching up on the last of the season. Man, I was kind of 'meh' on Burn Notice for the last year or so, but in the last month or so I've really been feeling the love again. Very glad to hear that it's been renewed for not just one but three seasons.
* Castle 2x14, which I'd already seen, but rewatched with Jamie.
* QI Gx18, the compilation show at the end of series 7. I do not know how I will cope during the QI hiatus. /o\
* Have really been feeling the lack of new NCIS episodes, and there's only next week and the week after before hiatus. :(
* Am ~3 weeks behind on Bones because I'm too afraid to watch the 100th episode because I don't know if I can bear to watch Bones explicitly shoot Booth down. Augh.
* Season 1 of Mythbusters, and part of Season 2. The overproduction frustrates me (so! many! musical! stings!) but they seriously have the most fun job in the world. Except for the rotting pigs and the getting sprayed by skunks, et cetera.
Looking for a new show or six to mainline, to last me through season hiatus.
Books Read:
* The Silver Branch, by Patricia Keneally, the first of her Keltiad books. There is something very seductive about her writing style, I find, and although the books aren't perfect I love her worldbuilding so very very much.
New Music:
None of these are 'new', per se, but all are new to me:
* 'Tarot Sport' by Fuck Buttons.
* 'Seek Magic' by Memory Tapes.
* 'We Gave It All Away... And Now Are Taking It Back' by Mungolian Jetset
* 'Jabeh' game soundtrack by Nick Jenei.
