mass effect thoughts

I was talking about Mass Effect with Housemate J today -- it's still the Game Of My Heart and I wish I could get him to play it (in that way where you want everyone you love to share the things you love). He idly said he wished it was a movie, which got me thinking about a fancast.
So, in that vein, thinking about fancasting Mass Effect...
Rules:
* no using any of the voice actors, even if they're also physical actors as well.
* first game only for now.
* trying to get the right "look", but not at the expense of good acting.
* I have mostly steered away from megastars, even if some of them are great choices, because it's more fun that way.
* some of the actors might be the wrong age by now, but I don't care. :)
Shepard: Jessica Chastain. She's old enough to be a credible commander, and presents that mix of leadership and warmth that makes me think of Jennifer Hale. (Backup choice: Emily Blunt)
Kaiden Alenko: Gabriel Luna. I feel like he'd do a good job of Kaiden, and he's absolutely got the right look. (Backup choice: Oscar Isaac.)
Ashley Williams: Michelle Rodriguez. Largely because I realised that as I was playing the game, I was imagining Ashley Williams was Michelle Rodriguez. :) (Backup choice, if I really must: Felicity Jones.)
Garrus Vakarian: this would be voice acting with a mocap or CGI character. Tom Hiddleston. (Backup choice: Zachary Quinto.)
Liara T'Soni: It feels mean to burden any actor with so much time in the makeup chair, but let's go with Yvonne Strahovski - I know she's technically a Mass Effect VA, but not for Liara, so it's okay! (Backup choice: Kate Mara.)
Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya: I saw someone suggest Sofia Boutella and now I can't get that choice out of my head. She'd be great, IMO. (Backup choice: Alona Tal.)
Urdnot Wrex: This is another mocap/CGI job. Wrex's voice is so far from human, anyone could pick it up and have fun with it, I think. I'm going to say Terry Crews. (Backup choice: Manu Bennett.)
Captain Anderson: Michael Dorn. Reg E Cathey would have been perfect, but he died in early 2018. (Backup choice: I really want Keith David, but the No Original Voice Actors rule screws me up. So, Dennis Haysbert.)
Joker: Another one where I really want to cast the voice actor, Seth Green, but I can't. So, I'd instruct the casting director to search for a disabled actor, to keep the representation alive. (Backup choice: if the search for a disabled actor failed, let's go with Sean Owen Roberts, who always struck me as Seth Green Lite.)
...Okay, I think I'm going to have to start another Mass Effect playthrough now.
