the sun and the moon and the stars

So I ordered one of the new iMacs, lovely machines that they are. Unfortunately they're not shipping yet so I've been sitting on my hands frustrated since December. It'll be glorious though; my current work machine is a six-year-old Mac Pro and there's something just Not Right about it - it's pretty much ready for the glue factory, and as a result I'm getting very little done because it's just so offputting. It'll be nice to have a fast, fast, fast machine in its place.

Which of course means that my brain is bombarding me with vid ideas left right and centre, right when I don't have a vidding-capable computer. The list is getting longer and longer, so this computer better get here soon before the list gets unmanageable (if it isn't already).

In other news, I saw Jack Reacher last night with the boyfriend. I have a general principle of boycotting all Tom Cruise movies because I don't want my money lining the pockets of the Church of Scientology, but Chris really wanted to see it so I figured I could compromise.

Other than spoilery commentary, all I can really say is "Man, Tom Cruise was trying really hard to channel Leroy Jethro Gibbs, wasn't he?"
