Agents of SHIELD again.

* Nice to have the truth serum retconned to make it somewhat less ridiculous, and the explanation is credible, although pulling it off relied on Ward to have had more subtlety and people skills than anyone credited him with.
* I still think it's ridiculous that the Bus and all their SUVs are emblazoned with the SHIELD logo.
* I like the reference to Coulson's card collection.
* Oh dear. The rest of this episode is going to be cringing over watching Skye trying to infiltrate Malta and not get caught. (That's a serious squick of mine. God knows how I made it through three and a half seasons of Alias.)
* Melinda May is unbending nicely, which is good to see.
* Is it just me or does the actor playing Ian Quinn look weirdly like Tahmoh Penikett? I know it's not him, but the resemblance is startling in a lot of shots.
* "I'll be honest. Our strategy did not take into consideration you saying that." Hee! (But why didn't it? I mean, in all seriousness, there was no evidence that this wasn't a willing extraction.)
* The gravity effects were fairly well done, I thought.
* Skye's reaction to not being able to pull the trigger was perfect, I thought.
* So all this and Quinn gets away anyway. Nice work, guys. No, really.
* Wow. Skye in her wet dress and wet hair and no shoes is right out of Joss's waif playbook, isn't she? Coulda doubled for River Tam there for a bit.
* The gravitonium effects when Hall fell to his death were so, so, so bad. Dear god.
* So they have the slingshot and they're not going to fire this into the sun? Despite it being so dangerous that Hall sacrificed himself - and was willing to sacrifice hundreds of innocent people - to destroy it? Ooookay. That's just wilful stupidity right there.
Apart from a couple of moments of stupidity, that seemed a lot better than the two previous. Or am I just becoming desensitised?
