flop!

Back home again - knackered. The floor looks amazing; Dad managed to strip and polish the entire thing while I was away, minus my bedroom (which is full of crates of stuff from the rest of the house).

I still find it hard to believe that the previous owners would see a house with gorgeous floorboards like this and voluntarily lay carpet that looked like this. What the hell, people.
