Cross your fingers and hope the network gets it right!
So, I'm watching the first episode of Castle - the new comedy/drama with Nathan Fillion - and honestly, I'm liking it a lot more than I expected.
It reminds me of The Mentalist, only not as frustrating. I stopped watching The Mentalist because of the plot-driven stupidity of the police characters -- to wit, if you have an expert psychologist who's brilliant at snap-profiling people on hand, constantly ignoring his input just makes you look pig-headed. Castle's premise is surprisingly similar, but this time they got it right - there's still tension and exasperation, but there's also grudging respect and an honest assessment of the main character's abilities.
I hope it gets picked up for a full run, because I'm enjoying this so far. On the other hand, it does star Nathan "Kiss Of Death" Fillion, so perhaps I shouldn't get my hopes up.
